Love Awareness: The  cultivation of Perception  as  a  solution  for  the dissolution of social hostility

It is human and inevitable that, with the transmigration of peoples, cultural displacements and the problem of basic needs not being met, that certain social stresses and conlicts arise which further compound the standard power structure of existing conflicts. That self-defensiveness and the exchange of hostilities exists in many of our urban spaces throught the world  is taken as normal today! This is largely so because we lack the understanding and the tools to deal with such conditions and stresses, and for our own self protection, we react as best we know how.

The power structures of society and the conflictual potentialities they engender also result in many human needs going unmet. This compounds the tension in the power infrastructure and is so problematic that it appears to constitutes a separate issue.   We are so embroiled in the problems presently that it is hard to see the solution, thus Citi-Zen stress-management tools for social conflict resolution are specifically focused to deal with the immediate issues of social stress which underpin social conflicts. Leading to an awareness of their source and its transformation.

There are requirements for the creation of true social harmony. True perception arises both upon, the basis of the skill of loving and as a result of the redeemed consciousness energy which had been invested in the unwisdom of stress and conflict. The ability to perceive clearly is a result of love and cuts off hostile reactions at their source through the power of love-awareness. Many social tensions exist due to reactionary misperception. Projections of our self onto others, condition our misperceptions of others and are fuelled primarily by the energy of frustrated desire due to the basic needs of many people not being met, and the filtered vision that this engenders.   Social conflict resolution is initially a question of developing the idea of friendliness and good will. Then the faculty of   love to actively transform conflict. Then upon that basis the clarity of true perception naturally arises and can be developed by further methods.

If even our basic human needs are not met, let alone ' luxury ' desires, then of course this frustration will be carried with us as we go about in the world. If we have the tools to master and transform desire, and find satisfaction then we can change the commerce of reactionary misperception which fuels and perpetuates much urban and international hostility. Violet Diamond Tantra - as discussed in ' What is stress-management ' - is a profound way of experiencing the transformation of desire into lasting satisfaction. This practice couple with Tong Len creates profoundly joyful social cohesion.

Desire is both the course of misperception and the means to achieving true perception. given the right tools any one can master desire and use it to create the joy of true satisfaction. Tantra is a way achieving this transformation of desire. Just as the cycle of hostility depends on misperception of others through ones misperception of ones own self and inherent power, so the cycle of peace and co-operation depends on perception. The ability to transform desire and the cultivation of the power of the hearts love is the key to developing true perception. Together these two disciplines (as, Meta-Tanta) hold a viable and potent means to transform the reactionary stale mate that many of our global spaces are seeming to become. Furthermore, it seems possible that only via the cultivation of positive and conscious social interaction, that then as humanity we may come to see yet more clearly the solution to the problem of meeting basic needs on a large scale which is the most pressing global need.
